I joined The King's in 2003, having spent 13 years with our sister school, Emmanuel College.
My role is very diverse and involves both academic and pastoral elements, including overseeing the welfare of our younger students and dealing with any behavioural or personal issues. I really love what I do; it is challenging but very rewarding.
The vision for all ESF schools, coupled with the aspiration to provide a first-class education for so many young people is great. There is also a culture of personal best within the school, which encourages both students and staff to constantly evaluate and improve upon their performance.
All of the core values and ethos are applicable to staff, students and potential candidates, whether you are a Christian or not. I would urge applicants not to be put off by this. Ultimately, if you are interested in making a difference to young people's lives then this is the place for you.
